Bantry (Co. Cork) is a livly harbour town at Bantry Bay. In 1796 Wolfe
Tone the Irish revolutionar droped anachor in Bantry Bay with 16
french ships and 6000 soldiers. But bad winds mad a landing
impossible. Later Tone was arrested and executed.
Bantry House is an old georgian manor house with a beautiful park. The
hous was the residence of Lord Bantry and is stil owned by the family.
